Also if you change the View to Details you'd see under Type "VMware virtual machine configuration" as the file type and is the file to edit and no need to change Folder Options in Control Panel!

There is combo box with hardware selection in Converter Wizard. If you ise Workstation as destination, choose more recent version. HTH
